Factors Influencing the Adjustment to the College Life of Nursing Student

Abstract

|
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate level of Clinical practice stress, Resilience and Coping styles on College life Adjustment and to explore the factors that contribute to the college life adjustment in nursing students.
Methods: Subjects were 224 nursing students of two different university which are located in Gyeongbuk. The survey was conducted from August 15th to October 25th. 2015. The data was analyzed using the PASW 18.0 program for descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson Correlation, and Multiple Linear Regression.
Results: The result indicated that Resilience and Problem solving coping styles, Club membership significantly influenced on the adjustment to college life and explanatory power of the model was 43.8%.
Conclusion: According to the result of this study, we prepare to develop programs for improvement of Resilience to help nursing students’ College life Adjustment.
